A Civic Welcome Reception followed by an international “bowl-foods” buffet, will be held in the amazing Glasgow Science Centre on the
south bank of the River Clyde. This is one of Scotland’s most popular attractions with over 300 interactive exhibits, shows, workshops, labs, a planetarium, IMAX Cinema and the Glasgow
Tower, which showcases Scotland’s contribution to
science and technology past, present and
future. It offers a variety of outstanding and unique interactive visitor
experiences to excite, inspire and entertain. Delegates will be able to use a shuttle bus service from the Radisson SAS Hotel to the Science Centre and back. Dress Code: Informal. Only wear outer coats if really necessary, as cloakroom facilities are restricted and at your own risk. Host: Professor Anton Muscatelli, Principal & Vice-Chancellor, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Drinks: House wines, orange juice and mineral water will be offered by courtesy of the Lord Provost of Glasgow. A limited cash bar will be available. Buffet: A unique international “bowl-food” stand-up fork buffet will be served. Bowl Food is a new concept designed by the famous Leith’s Caterers as an ideal way to have a small taste of several dishes from an extensive menu instead of being restricted to one choice per person. All of the Bowl Food has been specifically created to fit into small bowls from which it is served. The staff will circulate with the bowls of food on a tray, allowing for uninterrupted networking and conversation without queuing at a buffet. A choice of meat, fish and vegetarian options will be available. Exhibits: Delegates will be able to interact with numerous practical exhibits and displays. Bus Shuttle Service: A shuttle bus service will operate from the Radisson SAS Hotel to the Science Centre from 18.30 until 19.30, returning between 21.00 and 22.00.
